This moisture meter can detect the water composition of a wide range of materials such as wood, bamboo, cotton, tobacco, paper, food stuff, etc. It has wide detecting range from 5% to 40% moisture level. It also has an indicator when battery power is low making sure the battery is good. A low battery causes inaccurate readings. Plus, 2 more extra pins at no extra cost are included in the package along with the user's manual, carrying case and 9V battery.
